O, you extollers of fashion’s virtues, my cotton work jeans have walked with me long and far and the stains of freight cars upon them mark miles your limos could never cover,

To places where guitar chords ring, and skin drums pound, at fire circles too far in and too far out to be thumped by the synthetic sounds of music made on machines, where fire tenders dance regardless of fashion sense, as all of us must certainly do again, in the coming days when smoke and ash fills the air.

The festival map is now posted online. Please take a good look at it, figure out where you think you'd like to camp (If you've been before and know the land) and make plans with your friends to meet up. The entire festival grounds are divided into vegetable patches to make it easier for you and your friends to find each other. Each vegetable patch has a shuttle stop so you know where you and your stuff will be dropped off.

We highly recommend taking some time now and figuring out where you'd like to be camped. It will make the entrance process that much easier for you and your friends.

This site began as a vision of mine somewhere around a year ago, and though it has been met with many challenges in it’s creation – with more to come, I’m sure – here it is, for you.

There is a Meeting of the Kindred Spirits coming up March 29th! And
we do need to see some more Positive well integrated Female Energy in
this group who can work closely with others.

Small Cabins under one hundred square feet can sometimes be used
in some states until you get ready to go up to code with a real home.

That would be an 8x12 cabin with rooftop rainwater collection.

A simple and fairly inexpensive solar power system that I might
recommend for instance, might consist of 6 - SQ 160 Watt PV panels,
One MX60 Controller and 4 L-16 H Deep Cycle batteries along with a
nonda power center and a battery bank desulfator.

Forget Flourescents unless you like to eat mercury. The time is now
for the low voltage LEDs.

We are still looking to organize a group of volunteers to
help out some good folks one day out of the week, with some
organic gardening and we still do need someone to take Minutes
at the next meeting.

It would be possible, I would think, if there is a single female or
two out there who is cool about living closer to the Earth then
I may be able to provide a place for you to live, for
maybe 6 months out of the year up where I live in Northern
California.

I am writing to invite you all out out to celebrate my 38th birthday on this Thursday Feb. 28th (my actual birthday) @ shine. My birthday just happened to fall on the Thursdays that my good friend and soul brother Mozaic is doing his new monthly at shine "MIXTAPE" I will be closing out the night around 1:00am and in the style of my interpretation of "mixtape" will be playing and extra eclectic set retrospecting my 24 years as a dj. I say this coming from the humblest of places..."prepare to get schooled".
Get ready for tunes you never heard before because they are so new and
also ones you haven't heard because they were before your
generation. All woven into a tapestry of sound in a way that's danceable but is also a lot about hearing an incredible selection of incredible music from across the spectrum. Hope you all can make it out to share this

On October 16, 2007 a most loving mother, daughter, sister and friend slipped from our arms. Tiffa Novoa, whose legendary creative and artistic impact will be forever felt, will be honored in a public memorial next week. All who knew her or were impacted by her life are invited to come and share space and memory. If you have a piece of her clothing, please feel encouraged to wear it. Also, in order to relieve her family and close friends of the necessary finances of this event, there is a suggested donation of $10. After the reception there will be a gathering at a near-by park in the Oakland Hills.

El Circo style music off the playa

Any of the sets from BM available for off-playa listening? I know some of the DJs have pressed albums, but i'd love to hear some live recordings from this past week. heard hours of music that I need to hear more than once to make sense of.

And, my non-burner friends are getting tired of hearing me try to explain the Circo Sound without having any good examples.
